10 Steps to a Healthy, Happy 2009!


I hope this Happy Monday finds you well and successfully decompressing after the holiday hoopla! I love the holidays but I equate Christmas to a wedding, you’ve got all this planning, all of this anticipation, all the buying, spending and in 24 hours it’s over, done, kaput! Perhaps that is a reminder to me that rushing through everything simply eliminates the opportunity to fully experience the moment. Note to self: slow down next year!

Speaking of next year, what a perfect time to think about healthy changes you can make for the coming year. More specifically, 10 Steps to a Healthy, Happy 2009! Remember, healthy living isn’t just about crunches and tofu, it’s practicing balance, healthy food most of the time, regular exercise (move every day if possible) and decrease stress and increase happiness. So here is to a healthier you in 2009!

If you’re going to set weight goals, don’t make it generic, “Lose weight” be more specific.
