Love-led leaders genuinely and consistently cheer for others to succeed. This becomes contagious. –N. Anderson

I have come to understand that some days, we’re the crowd, and other times, we’re the cheerleaders. In other words, there are simply times when we need to step up and cheer someone on. One of my favorite sayings, which I’ll paraphrase, is, “Your biggest cheerleader is the one that sings your praises even when you’re not in the room.” I believe that to be true.

People Remember What You Say

I was attending a conference some time ago and ran into someone I hadn’t seen in a while. We chatted and did our best to catch up. One of the things she said during our conversation was, “I remember when I was just starting out, and you always encouraged me. You always made me feel like I was on the right path and doing the right thing. I just wanted you to know how much that meant to someone trying to get their career going.” That meant a lot to me, not just because she thanked me, but because sometimes we don’t realize how impactful our support for others can be.

Who is Cheering You On?

I don’t know about you, but I remember most of the people who stood in the corner and cheered me on. I still have some today cheering me on with Love-led leadership. There are some who doubt my passion for leading with love, and there are others who get it 100%. They are my cheerleaders, and I’m grateful for them.

There is someone out there who needs you to support their journey, cheer them on, and encourage them through their challenges and successes. All too often, people find the negative in someone’s dream and roll their eyes, telling them it will never work. Even if it doesn’t work, we know growth doesn’t happen from always succeeding; our most significant growth comes from failures.

Who will you cheer on? Who is cheering you on?

Here’s to leading with love!

Love,

Nicki
