The mind may question, but the heart always knows.  – Nicki Anderson

Doubt has a way of creeping in just when we think we’ve found our path. Our minds  overthink, and second-guess every decision, asking, Am I ready? Am I capable? Is this the right direction? But beyond all the noise, the heart holds a deeper truth. It doesn’t need to debate or defend—it just knows.

We’ve all had moments where logic tells us to play it safe, but something inside urges us forward. That “something” is love—the love for what we do, the love for the people we serve, the love for the vision that first sparked our journey. When we trust that love, we step into alignment with who we are meant to be.

But trusting the heart isn’t always easy. The mind craves certainty, while the heart requires faith. So how do we quiet the doubt and lean into the love that led us here?

  • Reframe Doubt as Growth- Instead of seeing doubt as a sign of weakness, recognize it as proof that you’re stretching beyond your comfort zone. Self-doubt often shows up when you’re about to step into something meaningful.
  • Trust Yourself- Trust the reason you started and let that pull you forward.
  • Take Action- Self-doubt thrives in inaction. The more you hesitate, the louder it gets. The antidote? Take one small step forward.

When starting my Love-led Leadership journey, I was full of self-doubt. I worried that people would think it’s cheesy, inappropriate for business, too personal and so on. But when my heart and my gut kept pulling me back in, I reminded myself this is not about approval it’s about having the audacity to trust myself and the impact I’m here to make.

Here’s to trusting your heart!

Love,

Nicki
